Free trade (from the English. Free trade - "free trade") - this is the direction in economic theory, policy and business practices that proclaims freedom of trade and non-interference in private business sectors of society. In practice, freedom of trade usually means the absence of high export and import duties, as well as non-monetary trade restrictions such as quotas on imports of certain goods and subsidies to domestic producers of certain commodities. Proponents of free trade are the liberal parties and currents; the enemies are many left-wing parties and movements (socialists and communists), and defenders of human rights and the environment, the trade unions.
