The study of international experience and liquidity management in this situation on the domestic monetary market suggests that to improve the liquidity of the banking system in Ukraine needs a comprehensive approach and the efforts of many actors, in particular, the NBU, the government and the banks directly. The fact that the banking system's liquidity factors are not only macroeconomic factors, but primarily a microeconomic nature. The latter are associated with insufficiently effective liquidity management at the micro level for the imperfect system of forecasting, the reorientation of the internal sources of the resource base on external borrowing and risky lending policies. It is possible to stabilize the situation, signs of which were late October 2008, a steady upward dynamics of volumes of time deposits of individuals and stop the trend towards reducing the level of liquidity in the banking system. This was evidenced by the stabilization of the volume of daily cash balances on correspondent accounts with the NBU at the level of 14-16 billion USD. in the last decade of October 2008 Category: Liquidity of the banking system of Ukraine
